Difficulty Levels
Post difficulty levels are given to each of the maths tutorial posts. The difficulty is rated from 1-4 (at the moment) with 1 being the easiest topics and 4 being the hardest. I have done this according to what level of qualification (in Wales to the best of my memory) I was doing when I first came across these topics. The ratings are as follows
| Level | Qualification (Wales and England) | Age |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Key Stage 3 – before GCSE | <15 |
| 2 | GCSE | 15-16 |
| 3 | A Level (single) | 17-18 |
| 4 | Further Maths A Level | 17-18 |
I am hoping to integrate this levelling system more fully into the site in the near future to make it easier for you to pick out posts which are relevant to you.
If you are from outside the UK
If you aren’t in the UK try to take a guide from the ages at which these topics were studied and other posts of a given difficulty level (this is why I have used numbers as opposed to just the qualification). Also please leave a comment below with the levels of school and ages which roughly approximates to each level (I know you may not be able to match up these exactly) so that I can add these to the table (and I will optionally include your name if you wish).
